A thousand years ago, the Leprechaun left a bloody trail when he ripped through the countryside in search of his stolen pot of gold. Now he's back in the big city using all of his deadly tricks to snare the girl of his nightmares. His bloody quest becomes more deadly when her boyfriend steals one of the Irish monster's precious gold coins. The town soon discovers two dead bodies and a trail of gold dust leads them to the Leprechaun's lair. It's a pot full O'blood, guts and horror as the Leprechaun goes on a wild rampage filled with grisly thrills and gruesome special effects.
That's what the back of the VHS or DVD has on it. But this movie doesn't continue in the footsteps of the first. It is an independent sequel of it's own. And a darn good one I must say myself.
Leprechaun(Warwick Davis)is 1000 years old. He can now claim his bride. But the bride that he chooses to marry is his slaves daughter. So making her sneeze is the easy part. The hard part is this, William O'Day(James Lancaster),is her daddy and is the leprechauns slave.
William saves his daughter by saying God Bless You Child and thus risking his life. I guess Leprechauns daddy never told Leprechaun to not take his brides dad on a bride hunt. Maybe he would have gotten the gal if he would have let the slave run away.
Anyways it's been 1000 years and Leprechaun now is on the hunt for another bride. So whose the lucky bride to be? It's Bridget(Shevonne Durkin). Now he must get the girl to sneeze. How does he do this? He blows, just blows through his lips. Now he has Bridget. But now he has an obstacle in his way.
Cody(Charlie Heath)and his drunken uncle Morty(Sandy Baron)now are on the hunt to save Bridget and kill the leprechaun. But like a sons mother always says, never trust drunken fools. Morty gets killed, a security cop gets killed and now it's all up to Cody to save the day. So he takes a simple milk chocolate piece wrapped in gold that looks like The Leprechauns gold piece and thus brings the climatic ending of the duel.
I recommend this, and it's sequels. Heck, we even see more magic in this. Cheers all around.
